Join Shari on Saturday, May 28 at 2:00 PM at Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park for the official launch of her new book! Alberta’s Cornerstone: Archaeological Adventures in Glenbow Ranch Provincial Park is published by Heritage House Publishing.
This event features a special presentation entitled “Through a Child’s Eyes: The Words & Photos of Glenbow Children.” Take a peek at rare images from private family archives that allow us to see how children viewed Glenbow a hundred years ago.
You will have the opportunity to ask questions about the history and archaeology of the park, as well as the process of writing a non-fiction book that combines memoir and history with beautiful photographs. Many of the photos featured in the book were contributed by park stewards Harvey Martens, Linda Vick and Ken Wright.
Come on by the new educational facility (officially known as the Glenbow School House) at the park for this special presentation. It’s your chance to purchase your own copy of the book and have it signed by Shari.
Reminder: Shari will be at the Sundre Municipal Library on Wednesday, May 25 at 6:30 PM. Her presentation will cover the archaeological work that inspired the book, summarize the history of the park area, and introduce some of the individuals featured in the book.
